A residents group have appealed a decision by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council allowing the Wicklow based company to retain a change of use from creche to cafe, at its Monkstown outlet.
The permission has been put on hold after the Longford Terrace Residents’ Association lodged the appeal with An Bord Pleanála on the grounds of increased traffic congestion and the need for a crèche in the area.
They also say that the existing shop and restaurant at Avoca results in considerable nuisance and negative impacts on the residential amenity of the residents of Longford Terrace.
A decision on the appeal is expected at the end of May.
