Emergency Road Closure at Cappagh Next Week

Traffic management and diversions will operate on Tuesday 25th & Wednesday 26th August.

An emergency road closure will be in place at Cappagh, between the junction for Askanagap and the Mullaun Crossroad, next week.

The closure from 8:00am Tuesday 25th August to 5:00pm Wednesday 26th August 2026 is to facilitate emergency culvert replacement works.

Traffic management and diversions will be in place throughout the works as follows:

Eastbound HGV traffic will be diverted at Mullaun Crossroads, south to Knockananna, and then east via Ballinglen and Annacurra.  Westbound traffic will divert vice versa. 

Local Access will be provided.

Wicklow County Council regret any inconvenience these works may cause.
