The Taoiseach today has said that he is delighted to see the Department of Education approve two new refurbishment projects for St. Killians’s Community School in Bray, and Kilcommon National School in Tinahely.
The projects allow for the provision of one new SEN classroom in St. Killian’s, as well as two SEN classrooms and one mainstream classroom for Kilcommon NS, through the reconfiguration of existing space.
Speaking today, Taoiseach Simon Harris said:
“I am immensely happy to see that both St. Killian’s and Kilcommon National School have had projects approved to provide extra accommodation for both mainstream and SEN classes.
“All children in Wicklow, and across the whole country deserve to have the best possible resources to facilitate their continued growth and success.
“I will continue to work closely alongside my colleagues in the Department of Education to ensure that further projects such as these get over the line, to provide the best possible opportunities for children across Wicklow.
“As Taoiseach, I will continue to place a focus on education and the success of children in all government decision making, and I look forward to continuing my work in representing the interests of schools both in my constituency and across Ireland.
