Wicklow and Wexford are among thirteen counties nationwide that will benefit in a share of almost €5 million in funding under the Healthy Community Programme.
The funding will be used to deliver increased health and wellbeing services in 19 different communities including Bray, Enniscorthy and Wexford Town.
Minister for Public Health and Wellbeing Frank Feighan says the funding will be used for 'social prescribing'.
