Work starts today to pedestrianise a number of streets across Dublin city-centre to facilitate outdoor dining, after successful trials last summer.
From today parts of South Anne Street, South William Street, Drury Street and Dame Court with be either traffic- free or have sections of them pedestrianised. Dublin Lord Mayor Hazel Chu says she believes this will help businesses in the city.
