Three Wicklow projects are to benefit from government funding worth €310,439. The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, announced on Friday that three Wicklow towns are among the beneficiaries of €18.5 million in funding through the Town and Village Renewal Scheme. Under this scheme, renovation works will take place at community halls in Ballinaclash and Donard. A new project in Wicklow Town has been allocated €221,339 and will see the refurbishment of laneways between the town centre and Port. Ballinaclash received €63,000 to install remote working facilities and a community hub area in their community hall, and Donard was allocated €26,100 towards creating a remote working facility in the community hall.
