A red-level tsunami warning has been issued for parts of Alaska after a powerful earthquake off the coast.
The 7.8 magnitude quake was recorded 75 miles off the town of Chignik in the Alaska Peninsula, prompting the warning from the US National Weather Service.
The level of danger for parts of British Columbia in Canada is also being evaluated.
