The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly is being asked to clarify his position on the future of Crooksling nursing home, which serves west Wicklow, after the H.S.E. confirmed it is moving forward with selling the home and the 47 acre it sits on.
It’s after the Minister apparently told his party colleague, Wicklow Councillor Patsy Glennon several weeks ago, that he had halted any move to sell the property until he carried out a review.
According to West Wicklow Independent Councillor Gerry O’Neill, only last week the Minister’s Office also told Baltinglass Municipal District that nothing was going to happen until the review was complete.
However in a reply to a question seeking clarification by the Dublin Mid Leinster regional health Forum regarding contacts from the Minister, the H.S.E. said the a temporary delay was put in place regarding disposing of the property, but that H.S.E. Estates are now progressing with the sale of this property and expect it to be on the market by the end of this month or early April.
