The government has firmly ruled out a commission of investigation into the violent death of a Roscommon priest 36 years ago.
Father Niall Molloy was killed in Richard and Theresa Flynn's mansion in Clara, Co Offaly, in 1985.
Richard Flynn was the only person charged in connection with his death - but he was cleared of manslaughter in 1986. The death of father Molloy was the subject of a recent two part documentary on RTE
In the Dáil last night, Junior Justice Minister James Browne rejected calls for a new inquiry.
However Father Molloy's nephew, Bill Maher, says he is disappointed at the minister's response.
