Abortion rights campaigners will gather outside the Dail today to remember Savita Halappanavar, who died 9 years ago.
The 31 year old, who was originally from India, died following complications with an incomplete miscarriage at University Hospital Galway in October 2012.Her death led to renewed calls for a referendum on the Eighth Amendment, which 66 percent voted in favour of repealing in May 2018.
