Just under half a million Euro has been allocated toward works to connect two housing estates in County Wicklow to the mains sewage system, under the new multi-annual capital investment programme.
The programme is focused on housing estates which are not taken-in-charge by local authorities and do not have their water services connected to the public network but rely instead on treatment plants provided by developers.
Wicklow Senator Pat Casey says this will be welcome news, particularly for the residents in Kilpedder, who have been fighting for years to have their situation resolved..
