The National Transport Authority have fined Go Ahead Ireland after deficits were recorded in their bus services for commuters in North Wicklow.
Following correspondence with Labour TD Duncan Smith, the NTA confirmed they fined the company just over €526,000 for failing to provide a full service for commuters on dates between July 2021 and June 2022.
During this time, routes 45a, 184 and 185 didn't meet expected standards which serve Bray, Enniskerry, Kilmacanogue, Greystones and Newtownmountkennedy in North Wicklow.
The contract currently held by Go Ahead is due to expire in 2023.
