Six Wicklow Swimming Pools To Receive Government Funding

Six swimming pools in Wicklow are to benefit from funding to help support them through the current financial difficulties, sustained during the ongoing lockdown process.

The Government has allocated €2.5 million to the sector across the country.

Sport Ireland has appointed Ireland Active, to administer the swimming pool grant scheme 2020, supported by Swim Ireland.

Here in the garden county,  the Coral Leisure pool in Arklow will receive just over €9,000 and the Arklow Bay Hotel pool has been granted €5,500.

The Coral Leisure pool in Wicklow is in line for €9,800 with a further €8,677  allocated to The Glenview Hotel.

Shoreline in Bray is set to receive €12,400,  with the biggest grant  awarded to the  Shoreline in Greystones who will receive €13,700.
