Bray's Tales for Tadpoles Longlisted for Bookshop of the Year

Could a Wicklow store take the win for a third time?

A Wicklow bookshop is in running for An Post Bookshop of the Year, again. And it's thanks to your customer votes!

Tales for Tadpoles has been longlisted for this year's award. The Bray store is one of twelve bookshops across Ireland in contention for the title. Each longlisted shop has been invited to submit a written entry for judges to consider. A shortlist of six will be selected and announced on October 22nd.

The Bookshop of the Year award, part of the annual An Post Irish Book Awards, recognises independent shops and local branches of bookshop chains, and the role they play in communities.

The overall winner will be announced on December 1st.

Wicklow has form in this category; Bridge Street Books in Wicklow town took the title in 2022, followed by Halfway Up the Stairs in Greystones in 2023. A win for Tales for Tadpoles would make it a third county victory in five years.
