Public Transport Fares For Commuters In Wicklow See Reduction Of 20%

A trip on the Luas, Dublin bus and the DART will is now 20% cheaper.

The reduction has already resulted in an increase in passenger journeys on Bus Eireann services in regional cities, with Galway and Limerick now ahead of pre-Covid levels.

While Iarnród Éireann’s online fares were reduced last month, from Monday, all intercity and commuter fares across the country will drop.

Fares on Bus Éireann and Local Link services were also reduced by 20% last month.

Anne Graham, CEO of the National Transport Authority, says it's part of efforts to cut the cost of living.
