A Freedom of Information request has found over €500,000 has been spent on a consultation report on plans to extend the Blessington Greenway.
Under the plans the route will run for over 30km and cover a number of villages including Ballyknockan, Valleymount and Lacken.
Councillor Gerry O' Neill says the planning application needs to be reviewed.
