Wicklow Culture Night 2026 Is Here!!!!
A county-wide celebration of arts, music, theatre, workshops and community creativity — with more than 50 free events across Wicklow this evening.
Culture Night is a national moment celebrating culture, creativity and the arts.
It seeks to actively promote the rich and varied culture treasured and nurtured in people's lives, strengthening local connections and celebrating place through participatory workshops, demonstrations and live performances.
New venues across Wicklow are being activated tonight — from town centres to rural landscapes — welcoming both first-time participants and established audiences to engage with culture in familiar and unexpected settings.

Live traditional Irish music from local musicians, an interactive African drumming workshop, and set dancing in Blessington.
Encounters: Ecology, Culture & Sculpture in Donard
Artist Noel Brennan, ecological artist Siobhán Madden, international arts director Aebhric Coleman, and the Wicklow Hills Art Collective explore the relationship between ecology, landscape, memory and place.

Wicklow Library Services have curated a varied programme of events at nine locations across the county.
Ballywaltrim Library
Artist Sharon Wells guides an evening of wool work, felting, and traditional crafting with folklore.
Greystones Library
Creative stitching workshop with artist Tamara Fiabane, plus a jazz guitar performance by Mike Nielsen.
Rathdrum Library
Mindfulness through mandala art workshop with Shyakti Arts — exploring pattern, colour and design.
Wicklow Town Library
Linocut workshop with Terry Lawless, print exhibition from Wicklow Creative Cooperative, and live music from Hugh Browne.

Arklow, Blessington, Bray, Carnew, and Enniskerry libraries are all part of the programme.

All Culture Night events and activities are free to attend.
