A nationwide fund of €550,000 is being made available by The Heritage Council for the Community Heritage Grant scheme, which is part of the rescue package for the sector announced by the Government.
The scheme aims to support capital projects that improve access and inclusion to heritage sites, including the purchase of specialised equipment.
Funding of up to 80 per cent of the project cost can be applied for, up to €15,000.
Applications must be submitted using the Heritage Council’s online application system at Heritagecouncil.ie by 5 pm on Tuesday, the 15th of September.
