Gardai are asking for assistance from members of the public as part of their investigation into a fatal road traffic collision at Ballybeg, Rathnew on Saturday.
A motorcyclist aged in his 40s was killed on the R752 shortly after 4 p.m. after first clipping a car and then colliding with a second vehicle as he was entering Rathnew.The motorcyclist is a Polish native who had been living in County Wexford at the time of his death. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Wicklow Gardaí, Wicklow Fire Services and Wicklow Rapid Response all attended the scene and the road was closed off so Garda forensic collision investigators could conduct a technical examination of the area.Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and was travelling in the area is asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
