The 24 year old student was abducted and murdered in County Wicklow almost a year ago.
A date has been set for the inquest into the death of Jastine Valdez.
Jastine's parents Tess and Danny were present at the Coroner's Court in Dublin for this brief hearing.
Their 24 year old daughter had taken a bus home to Enniskerry at around 6pm on the 19th of May last year when a witness saw her being bundled into a car.
Jastine's body was found around 48 hours later in woodland at Rathmichael, South Dublin.
A post-mortem gave the cause of death as asphyxia.
The man who abducted and killed her, Mark Hennessy, was shot dead by a garda - his inquest has been adjourned pending an investigation into the shooting by the garda watchdog body GSOC.
This morning Inspector Frank Keenaghan of Bray Garda Station applied to the Deputy Coroner Dr Crona Gallagher for a date for hearing for Jastine's inquest.
A full hearing will now take place on the 4th of November this year
