A major annual attraction in Wicklow is the latest casualty of the Covid-19 pandemic.
One of the country’s biggest Agricultural events, The Tinahely show has been cancelled. The show’s committee says it has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 crisis and following consultation with its members and taking account of the recent recommendation by the Irish Shows Association, they have regrettably taken the decision to cancel the 85th Tinahely Agricultural Show which was due to take place on the August 3rd.
They say they have not taken the decision lightly, but in the interests of public health and safety, they had no other option but to cancel this year’s show.
The one day event has an average turnout of 20,000 visitors each year.
