A snow and ice warning is in place for Wicklow and surrounding counties this morning.
The nationwide status yellow alert came in to effect at 6 o'clock and will remain valid until 9 O’ Clock tomorrow Wednesday morning.
Wintry showers, mainly of hail and sleet, are expected but snow could impact on high ground.
