Work Continues To Repair Watermain With Some Wicklow Residents Told To Expect Disruption

Irish Water is advising residents in parts of Wicklow to conserve supplies, as crews work with the county council to repair a water main between the Vartry water treatment plant and Newtownmountkennedy. 

The public water network in the Greater Dublin area has experienced a higher than normal volume of burst pipes in recent days, due to the thawing of lines following freezing temperatures.

Properties in Newtownmountkennedy, Killcroney, Bray and Greystones may experience disruption to their supply for a number of hours today, mainly lower pressure, while these repairs are underway.
