Now in its 26th year, An Taisce’s Spring Clean initiative is once again inviting community groups, schools, and resident associations in Wicklow to participate.
This campaign, known as Ireland’s largest anti-litter initiative, is operated by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce in partnership with local authorities and is supported by the Department of Environment, Communications, and Climate Action.
The Spring Clean runs throughout the entire month of April.
To support this initiative, Wicklow County Council has a dedicated team, the Spring Clean Team, which can provide litter pickers, bags, and gloves to groups in Wicklow.
To request these supplies while stocks last, please email SpringClean@wicklowcoco.ie
Keeping our areas litter-free contributes to healthier freshwater and coastal waters, reduces marine pollution, and improves our recycling targets, among many other benefits.
