The draw for the semi-finals of the Tailteann Cup has pitted Wicklow against Limerick, the side who pipped the Garden County to Division Three promotion earlier this year.
Wicklow footballers will meet Limerick in the semi-finals of the Tailteann Cup at Croke Park next weekend after their last-gasp one-point win over Westmeath in Aughrim yesterday.
Limerick were impressive in their eight-point win over Wexford while the Shannosiders pipped the Garden County to Division Three promotion earlier this year.
Kildare and Fermanagh will meet in the other semi-final.
Wicklow boss Oisin McConville told East Coast FM his charges responded brilliantly yesterday to secure a famous win:
The last ten minutes, don't ask me to describe what happened. I think we were eight points down at one stage in the second half and we were playing against the elements. You don't think you're going to come back from that. But we chipped away and chipped away....I thought the crowd today got behind us. Our boys responded."
