The Summer Stars signed up more readers than ever before.
More than 40 young readers have been celebrated at Ballywaltrim Library following a bumper summer of reading.
The children received Summer Stars medals at a special prize-giving ceremony recently.
Ten also won prizes in the library’s Golden Tickets raffle.
The awards were presented by Cathaoirleach of Wicklow County Council, Cllr Dr Caroline Winstanley, who praised the programme for nurturing a love of reading among young people.
Wicklow County Librarian Margaret Birchall says it has been a particularly successful summer, with more children signing up to Summer Stars than ever before.
