Parents at a secondary school in west Wicklow are demanding answers from the Department of Education, over its failure to honour a commitment to provide temporary accommodation for students for this coming school year.
The interim measure was to provide two general classrooms along with a woodwork and two science classrooms, until permanent accommodation can be provided.
Similar measures were announced at the same time for Greystones college which have been provided. Parents from Saint Kevins Community College in Dunlavin say it’s a clear example of where political intervention from the three TDs living in the Greystones area , two of whom are Ministers, has ensured their own constituency is fully catered for, while ignoring the equally important needs of other parts of the county.
