he review stems from the recommendation of a Working Group, formed by Minister Malcolm Noonan after Deputy Matthews raised the issue in the Dail of equitable access to toilet facilities.
The recommendation from the Working Group suggests the type and sizes of buildings where a Changing Places toilet should be required, along with the technical requirements (equipment, room size and layout) of a changing places toilet.
The department is interested in focused input into the technical aspects of the proposals. Views are welcome from everybody but particularly people who use or support others who use Changing Places toilets, builders, building designers.
All documents and information on how to make a submission can be found on the Department of Housing website. Submissions can be made until 5pm on May 12th.
