The Health Minister has been criticised for failing to appear before an Oireachtas committee to answer questions on Tony Holohan's abandoned secondment.
Wicklow TD Stephen Donnelly had been asked to discuss the CMO's proposed role with Trinity College at the finance committee on Wednesday.
However, the Minister says he intends to allow an independent review be completed before addressing any committee.
Member of the finance committee, Peadar Toibin, says the Minister shouldn't be shying away from answering questions.
