Investigations are continuing into a fatal three vehicle collision on the Lower Main Street area of Rathdrum, last Saturday afternoon.
A man in his 50s, who was driving a van was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of one of two cars involved, a woman in her early 80s, received non life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or motorists with dash cam footage, to come forward.
Elsewhere, In Meath, a man in his 20s was killed in a single vehicle collision in the Crossakeel area of Kells at around 11 o'clock last night.
Meanwhile in Kerry, a man in his 60s died in a single-vehicle crash which happened in Castleisland at about 11.20 last night.
