Delays in delivering 42 new social houses in Kilbride Court in Bray have been resolved and it’s expected that tenants will receive their keys in the coming weeks.
Shortly after work commenced on the development in 2018 the Naas based developer MDY construction encountered financial difficulties, while Covid lockdowns also impacted on the project’s completion.
Sinn Fein Councillor Dermot ‘Daisy’ O’Brien says the council had notified the 42 new tenants last Easter that they were being allocated one of the new units, which created further frustration for people who had given notice to landlords, when the project faced further delays.
Councillor O’Brien says it’s hoped that the new tenants will finally get to move into their new homes quite soon.
