He spoke exclusively to East Coast FM this morning.
Speaking this morning on East Coast FM, the Taoiseach said:
“I know all too well the realities for people in County Wicklow.
“I'm from Wicklow, I live in Wicklow, and the challenges of cost of living are still real for people in our county, and we have to take action today.
“So of course, we will deliver a budget that addresses the cost of living.
“This is my first budget as Taoiseach and it will make a real difference for next year in terms of investing more in our schools, in our health service, it will help our businesses and most importantly it will keep our county and our country vibrant.
“This budget will also set more aside for housing, for water, for electricity because we have to continue to invest in key infrastructure areas.
“But we also have to give people money now by putting money back into people’s pockets to help them with the cost of living.
“We have to help people with the cost of raising a child, our pensioners, our carers and people with disabilities.
“People across our county of Wicklow today can expect a cost of living package of a couple of billion euro that I think will make a real difference to people as we come into the winter."
