Strong winds are forecast for Wicklow tonight, with gusts of up to 100 kilometres an hour expected at times.
A status yellow wind warning has been issued by Met Eireann for eight counties in the East and south, including Wicklow, Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford.
An orange wind warning is in place for Cork.
The warnings come into force from 9 o’clock tonight and will stay in place until 9 o’clock tomorrow morning.
