A south Dublin hospital has told the HSE it may have to stop admissions and move patients if fire safety risks aren't addressed.
The Royal Hospital Donnybrook, that includes a nursing home and step-down rehab care, has appealed for extra funding.
The Irish Times reports that the hospital told the health service executive that fire safety failings meant patients, resident and staff are placed at an unnecessary level of risk.
Works to fix the issues are expected to cost €2.3 million.
