Wicklow County Council has advised the public that road works begin on the R747 from today.
The works are being carried out on behalf of Irish Water as part of the extension of the Ballyduff (Arklow) Water Supply Scheme to Aughrim via Ballymorris.
The council said the works will last for up to six weeks with a traffic management system being put in place.
Ward and Burke Limited and Murphy Process Engineering are carrying out the works on behalf of Irish Water.
