The Health Minister Stephen Donnelly is coming under increasing pressure following reports today that his department was made aware of flaws in a Health Service Executive Staff portal system, which saw people who were not frontline workers receive the vaccine.
Yesterday the HSE boss Paul Reid said the numbers were quite small , but according to the Irish Daily mail, the Minister was made aware of the flaw by his party colleague Jim O’Callaghan, ten days before it was closed down.
The labour leader Alan Kelly says Minister Donnelly cannot say it was a HSE issue and not his problem. Deputy Kelly says he will be raising the matter with the Taoiseach.
