Bray Municipal District has held a Cathaoirleach’s Reception to honour and recognise the achievements of Dania Moorehouse and Lara Gillespie at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Elected members of Bray Municipal District joined Cathaoirleach Councillor Dermot O’Brien in paying tribute to the two athletes.
The Cathaoirleach and the District Manager also paid tribute to Dania and Lara’s families and coaches for their ongoing support as the athletes pursue their goals.
They concluded by wishing Dania and Lara every success in their future sporting endeavours.
Dania thanked everyone for the reception and expressed gratitude to the community and local schools for their support.
Due to training commitments, Lara was unable to attend.
Councillor Melanie Corrigan accepted the presentation on her behalf and read a statement from her.
