Wicklow County Council has opened a public consultation on plans to refurbish the former Bank of Ireland building on the Main Street.
The local authority acquired the property in 2022, and WCC now hopes the facility will “promote well-being, inclusion, and community cohesion”.
The refurbishment works will see the demolition of all existing internal partitions and stairs, along with the reconfiguration of internal walls at both levels, and the construction of new stairs and a passenger lift connecting the ground and first floors.
Submissions and observations can be made via economicdevelopment@wicklowcoco.ie, wicklow.ie/Living/ConsultationHub or in writing to ‘Caroline Cullimore, Administrative Officer, Economic Development Office of Wicklow County Council, Station Road, Wicklow town A67 FW96’ until Monday, April 22 at 12 pm.
