Pat Casey Fails To Retain His Wicklow Seat

The 11th count here at the shoreline leisure centre in Greystones with the redistribution of 4,654  Ballot papers for  the 11th candidate to be eliminated, john Snell has seen outgoing Fianna Fail TD Pat Casey lose his seat.

A lack of transfers has seen Independent candidate Joe Behan overtake him and forced Pat Casey’s elimination.

Social Democrat Jennifer Whitmore  is now just a little over 700 votes off the  quota of 11,887 and it’s expected should could be declared elected to the second seat in Wicklow following this latest transfer count.
