The Department of Health has published a new Waiting List Action Plan.
The Health Minister Wicklow T.D. Stephen Donnelly says it's aimed at dealing with the impact of the pandemic and the cyber-attack on scheduled care this year.
Maximum wait time targets will be introduced, along with improved access to data across the health system.
Minister Donnelly has promised the HSE will give the new plan to reduce waiting lists the 'same intense focus' as COVID-19 and the vaccine rollout
