Despite the downturn in the economy due to the Coronavirus pandemic, The sale of new homes in north Wicklow has proven better than market expectations.
According to the Irish Times, all 20 three- and four-bed units in the Wood group’s development of Churchlands, in Delgany, have sold for between €445,000 and €485,000.
The Orchard development in Greystones launched on the 5th of September and already 8 eight of its nine units are sale agreed. All four of the four-bed semis which start at €645,000, were bought by buyers who viewed them on the first day. Of the next phase which has yet to be built, three four-bed semis priced at €585,000, are already sold.
Meanwhile Redwood, a high end development of just eight detached houses in Enniskerry village was only launched a fortnight ago and already five of the eight houses have now sold at prices from €995,000 to €1.2million.
The report says the main activity in house sales has been in the first-time buyer’s market.
