Wicklow Businesses Are Staying Competitive with Skills Training

Almost all businesses taking part in training were small and medium-sized enterprises.

More than 1,800 people and 500 businesses in Wicklow took part in Skillnet Ireland training programmes last year.

Their latest Annual Report reveals over 14,000 training days were delivered to companies across the county in 2025.

Women accounted for 57% of those completing training, while 43 per cent were men.

30 to 39 year-olds made up the largest group of those upskilling.

Almost all Wicklow businesses taking part in training programmes were small and medium-sized enterprises - making up 97%.

The biggest demand came from the agriculture sector, followed by services, food and drink, retail, and health.
