Members of the National Advocacy Service are staging a protest at the Taoiseach's constituency office in Bray today.
The service - which supports adults with disabilities across Ireland - is on hold for a second week, in a strike over implementation of a Labour Court recommendation on pay and conditions.
Mick Ryan, President of the Bray and District Council of Trade Unions, called on the Minister to instruct her department, which funds the service, to accept the recommendation of the Labour Court on the pay and conditions of the staff who are members of SIPTU.NAS members began industrial action last month but workers paused the strike on June 12 to allow for talks aimed at resolving the dispute. SIPTU, which represents the majority of the 48 staff members, has accused management of failing to adhere to a Labour Court recommendation on pay and conditions.
