12 community groups across Wicklow are to benefit from more than €1.6 million worth of government funding.
These include the Glencree Visitors Centre, Lakers Social Club in Bray and the community hall in Avoca.
The Community Services Programme aims to help groups operating in areas of disadvantage with limited earning potential.
New funding rates will see the Department’s support for the programme rise to almost €49 million.
