A man arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the fatal assault of a man in his 30s in Wicklow earlier this year has been released without charge.
The man, aged in his 30s, is was being detained at Baltinglass Garda Station on Friday.
Meanwhile Nicola Brennan, of no fixed abode, was charged with the murder of Juris Viktorovs, who was found stabbed to death at his home in Ballyconnell on the 10 February last.
Mr Viktorovs, 36, was found dead in his home, in a quiet cul de sac in Ballyconnell near Shillelagh.
He had been fatally stabbed.
The father-of-two had come to Ireland and lived in Tullow in Carlow for six years before moving to Ballyconnell in Wicklow shortly before his death.
There was no application for bail as bail cannot be granted in the District Court in a murder case.
Her solicitor applied for free legal aid which Judge Geraldine Carthy granted before remanding Ms Brennan in custody to the Dochas Centre, the female prison at Mountjoy in Dublin.
She’s due to appear again at Carlow District Court next Wednesday, 27 July.
