New Reserach Shows 83% Of People Will Continue To Shop Local In 2021

Research carried out by local enterprise offices shows more than 82 percent are more likely to buy Irish this christmas compared with last year.

More than 8 in 10 consumers feel there are more options to buy from Irish retailers online this year.

The figures come after Google released a study into people's recent trends.

During Level 5 restrictions there was a surge in people searching to buy Irish products.

The use of the words “just buy Irish” peaked with an increase of a massive 3,495 percent in the last seven days.

While people searching for the term 'buy-irish-gifts' jumped by 200%.

The words shop local increased in County Cork by 700% and by 470 in Dublin.
