An investigation is underway into the alleged rape of a female member of the Defence Forces in Dublin.
It’s claimed to have happened at a south city centre hotel being used for mandatory hotel quarantine last Monday night.
Gardai say their investigations are ongoing.
The Defence Forces have also issued a brief statement saying they are aware of the alleged incident, but as the complaint is the subject of an ongoing Garda investigation it would be inappropriate to comment any further.
