The Court Service has approved the transfer of the old Bray Courthouse on the Boghall Road to Wicklow County Council.
It's expected work on the transfer will be completed early in the new year.
The building has been vacant since 2006, when court sittings and services were relocated to the Main Street in the town.
Sinn Fein have now called on council officials to secure funding, to allow work on a new community hub take place on the site.
