Wind energy operators want the government to urgently support the development of more offshore wind energy.
The Government has shown ambition but no urgency when it comes to renewable energy.
That's according to the Irish Wind Energy Association, which thinks the Government will find it difficult to meet it's renewable energy targets.
The Climate Action plan aims for 70 percent of Ireland's energy to be renewable by 2030.
Currently there is only one off shore wind farm in Ireland, located off the coast of Arklow, here in County Wicklow.
The Association says the government seems keen to help the industry but it needs to show that support by taking action:
