The national school in Brittas Bay has been told it won’t be losing one of it’s teachers.
Wicklow T.D. Stephen Donnelly says Scoil Mhuire Réalt Na Mara was initially told they were going to lose one of their teachers for the upcoming school year.
An initial appeal against the decision was rejected, however , Deputy Donnelly says along with teachers and parents he wrote to the Minister for Education, pointing out how vital a sixth teacher was in order to prevent overcrowding during the Covid crisis.
Deputy Donnelly says the minister has confirmed that the sixth teacher for the school will remain.
